How saddened I am to hear of this loss.  John helped us to locate missing classmates for our reunion this summer. We will remember John with love. He was a big part of our class and of our memories.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.  Our Class has lost a friend, we will remember you...think of you...pray for you.  Love, Ann Nordstrom Lachowiez

Rest in Peace John.  I was saddened to hear of John's passing.  We first became friends at Irving Junior High 45 years ago.  Our friendship grew and continued through high school and our "track and field" days under Coach Roy.

Like many classmates after high school, our lives led us down separate paths.  John stayed in Lincoln and I moved away.  We were fortunate to reconnect about 10 years ago.  While visiting my mother who still lived in Lincoln at the time, we discovered that John and his family attended Southwood Lutheran Church.....the same church my mother attended.  Nearly every visit to see my mother when we attended church services on Sunday morning John and family were there.  It gave us the chance to visit, even though briefly.

John and Shannon also visited us in Winter Park when Shannon was in Colorado for a volleyball tournament several years ago.  We were able to visit, ski, catch up and enjoy each others company for a brief period.

John, you were a compassionate, family oriented man who lived his life with admirable values.  You led by example.  You will be missed................
