He was my best friend for about 20 years. He was a great guy. First time I ever heard LED Zeplen was at his apartment on 20th street. He bought a pool table for his farm house near Fairberry I beat him 13 games in a row and we would laugh about it. Doug Dale Ashmun and Ron Akin drove out to California day after we graduated. That trip opened my eyes to there was a great big world out there and I wanted to see some of it. He called me "true north" when we went hunting because I always knew which way back to the car. I never got to say goodbye. I think I will always miss him.
