There hasn't been an obituary for Jerry in the Lincoln paper yet but I'll post it if one becomes available. I know a private family-only ceremony was planned.

Classmates--
It is with great sadness I must report that Jerry Tanner died January 23rd in Lincoln after a long illness. I'm sure you will share with me all the sympathies, prayers and Thoughts of remembrance with Jana and his children.
Jerry and I (and many others in our class) all go back to Irving 7th Grade.

If there is a Hall of Fame for friends then Jerry Tanner is definitely in it. I witnessed his generosity with his time and knowledge for 50 years. Never asking or expecting anything in return. To Jerry if you were a friend in kindergarten you were a friend today. He was funny, had a big heart , a big laugh and was totally unfiltered. We will all miss him !
