Great guy. Kind, funny and smart. Grew up and went to Merle Beattie and then Irving with Sid. As a kid I remember staying all night at his house and watching Creature Feature on Saturday night TV. God Bless him. Peace. Scott
I remember Sidney Leopold from grade school (Merle Beattie), junior high (Irving), and high school. His dad owned a signage business in Lincoln. I believe the name was "H.H. Leopold." Later, it was changed to "Leopold, and Son."
Sid died tragically young, from an work-related accidental electrocution, if my recollection is accurate. I hadn't thought about it in years, until I saw his name on the memorial list. May he rest in peace.
