Dr. Rodney Eddings, age 70, of Rutherfordton, NC., born May 6, 1952 passed on September 8, 2022. Rod was the son of the late Grace Helen (Friendt) and Loyal John Eddings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Krogman. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Theresa (Haynes) Eddings, and their children Gerit Jon (Kari) Schell, Keri Schell Nider, Samuel Eddings, and Chance Eddings. Grandchildren, Madalynn (Hayden) Schell Cruey, Sophia Schell, Alec Pfister, and Harrison Schell. Great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Adaline Cruey.

Rod loved being a veterinarian, and was deeply devoted to the cherished animals (and their humans) he was trusted to care for. A few of Rod’s other loves were Diet Coke, fishing, music, and the simple joy of reading a good book.
