Our friend and classmate John Wuetrich passed away Monday January 1st, 2018, at approximately 3:40 pm, with his family present.

I have attached a photo from 12/27/17 (John is seated on the right). A bunch of friends who have known each other for 40-50 years had gathered for lunch on that date.

A Celebration of Life Service for John (LSE, 1970) will take place on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Lincoln Labor Union Temple, 4625 'Y' Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. Please come share your memories of John with the family.

John and I talked on 12/27/17 in his room at the Journey House, a hospice facility associated with Tabitha in Lincoln, NE. We talked about death, his faith as a Christian, and spent lots of time both at the lunch with friends and later in his room sharing good memories, pouring over 35 mm photos and the `69 and `70 LSE yearbooks.

A good man who I am honored to have as a friend.

Sorrow in the night and joy in the morning.
