Brien Connealy VIEW PROFILE

Brien Connealy, 58, of Breckenridge, Colo., passed away Wednesday (07/27/11).  Born September 8, 1952 in Arlington, Va. to Louis and Margaret (Ross) Connealy.  Graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School and UNL in journalism. Acacia Fraternity.  Teaching certification, UNL.  Worked as a radio broadcaster in Plattsmouth and York.  Taught at the International School of Duesseldorf, Germany, Mickle Junior High, Lincoln High and Northeast High Schools in Lincoln, Rifle High School in Rifle, Colorado and also in Summit County, Colorado.  Brien shared his passion for Nebraska football, politics, music, food and life with his many friends and family members.  He especially enjoyed being "Opa" to his grandchildren.

Family members include wife, Peg of Breckenridge; daughter, son-in-law, Molly and Tyson Parde of Lincoln; son, Sean Connealy of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; grandchildren, Tylie and Kellen Parde of Lincoln; mother, Margaret Connealy of Lincoln; sister, brother-in-law, Ann and Tom McGrath of Lynchburg, Va.; brother, sister-in-law, Ross Connealy and Joan Sutton of Springfield, Va.; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Jim Rutledge of El Paso, Texas, Dave and Mary Beth Rutledge of Lincoln, Bob and Marlene Rutledge of Ashland; aunts, Donna Lamb of Lincoln, Petie Ross of Phoenix, Mickey Ross of Overland Park, Kan.; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father.
